Adventuring through the Great Pyramid

Welcome back! This time around, I'll be focusing on an adventure through the Great Pyramid!

On the airplane to Egypt, we actually managed to see the pyramids from the airplane, and it was really cool. It really showed just how big they were. It was once the world's largest building, but that really put into perspective how humongous it was.

When we actually landed in Egypt, one of the first things we did is riding one of the camels. They were surprisingly tall, and you actually have to lean back when the camel stands up to avoid falling down.

And then when I went into the Great Pyramid, it was very dark, almost like a dungeon. When it comes to climbing the inside of the pyramid, it was surprisingly thrilling. The stairway is kind of a fusion between a ladder and a staircase.

After climbing the pyramids, we went to see the sphinx, which, like the pyramids, was far larger in person than photos made it out to be. As you can see, the sphinx was worn down over time due to sand blowing on it. This reached the point where the sand covered up almost the entire sphinx except for the head.

Aside from the architecture and history of Egypt, the people and culture of Egypt are very fun and interesting, but in a decidedly different way than in Italy. However, a similarity between Italy and Egypt is the deliciousness of the food. Although some of the food does require a bit of an acquired taste, the vast majority of food in Egypt is delic
ious, although the flavor profile is very different between the two food genres.

In conclusion, not only are the pyramids interesting, but the architecture, the history, and the culture and people are incredibly fascinating.
