My first adventure to Europe

Hello and welcome to Julian's World Adventures! Today I'm going to focus on my first adventure to Italy.

When me and my mom arrived in Italy, one of the first things we did was go to a restaurant near the Pantheon, a building celebrating the Roman gods. While I was there at the restaurant, I tried some Roman pizza, which was very delicious. Then after that, we took a stroll around Rome, and we got to see not just the city, but we also saw some very beautiful art, and one of the most impressive things to me were the public water faucets, which are from the times of Ancient Rome, which still work, in fact, a lot of the plumbing systems still in place in Rome were created by the Ancient Romans.

One of my favorite things about Rome is the art, and also the fact that there is art pretty much everywhere.

Whether on buildings, in museums, or buildings themselves, art is one of the most important aspects of Rome, which gives it a beautiful charm I haven't seen anywhere else.

Another unique thing about Rome is how fun it is to walk around. And not just at the Colosseum, pretty much anywhere in Rome is fun to walk through. Even just walking around the piazza our apartment is in is fun, and that's one of the things I adore about this city. It really captivates you in a way a photo or video just can't do justice. Anyway, another thing I love about Rome is the people. It doesn't matter if it's somebody trying to sell you a toy or be a friend. Pretty much everyone is either fun to be around, or has something interesting to say.

After all the pizza and people, there are the museums. The museums are very well curated, and the art inside
them are beautiful. Throughout its existence, the Romans have created countless paintings and sculptures of their gods, (of course) their scenery, and pretty much everything you can think of.

As if Rome couldn't be more awesome, the history of it is extremely fascinating, and has close ties to Greece. It was one of the first countries to be a democracy, and its political systems were a major inspiration for America's political system. The most interesting part to me is how Augustus turned Rome from a republic to an empire, but that's another story for another time.

To conclude, although I would visit Rome many more times, this first trip will always have a special place in my heart. It was the first time I was exposed to the food, the culture, and the people, so I will cherish this trip for years to come.
